MERINO TENCEL PULLOVER

Why this jumper?

Most sweaters on the market are made of cotton, stretch out a lot, lose their shape quickly and their color fade.

We wanted to create the most comfortable, durable and eco-friendly sweater possible. A sweater that you will happily wear all year round, for the years to come.

The queen of wools

Extrafine merino wool is the world's highest performing natural fiber:

- Regulates body temperature
- Keeps you warm without sweating
- Does not retain odors
- Ultra-soft
The wool used for this sweater is 18.5 microns for extreme softness. It comes from Urugayan farms that do not practice mulesing.

The king of wood

Our Tencel comes from Eucalyptus tree and is sourced from South African farms that minimize fertilizer and rely on rainfall, not irrigation. Surface exploitation is a lot more efficient than cotton. Its closed loop production process is environmental friendly. The solvent is almost 100% recovered and reused and water is reused for next production cycles.

That's why Tencel uses 95% less water and cuts our carbon footprint in half compared to traditional materials like cotton.

Read more about our Tencel

Tencel is better in every way than cotton:

- it absorbs moisture into the fiber's core, so the surface remains dry and pleasant to the body
- it is very smooth and super soft to the touch
- it is very breathable and durable
- it uses far less water than cotton in the process

A Royal Natural Union

Our spinner Schoeller in Austria creates this yarn from wool and Tencel fibers by twisting the fibers onto themselves to design a single yarn, an intimate blend of these two materials to combine the best of both worlds

60% Extrafine Merino Wool - 40% Tencel

The blend of materials between fine merino and Tencel creates an optimal climatic balance and protects the planet's resources, as wood and wool are renewable and 100% recyclable raw materials.

MERINO TENCEL PULLOVER

Super-soft

It hugs you straight away with this blend of extra-fine wool and cool, silky wood.

MERINO TENCEL PULLOVER

Highly breathable

The advantage of this natural fiber blend is that it regulates your body temperature perfectly so you can wear this sweater in a wide range of temperatures.

The knit is dense so the sweater doesn't stretch out, but it's breathable enough to let your skin breathe.

Timeless and elegant

The pullover is fitted but not skin-tight. You can wear it without anything underneath or with your favorite shirt as a baselayer.

Wear it for work or for your next vacations and stay sharp everytime!

MERINO TENCEL PULLOVER

High-end knitting

The sweater weighs 550g in size M, which is an average weight to take you most of the year.

Our sweater is knitted in a specialized workshop in Lithuania in a compact and tight Milano knitting stitch: it will not pilling and will keep its shape year after year.

MERINO TENCEL PULLOVER

Does not loosen over time

The ribbing on the collar, cuffs and lower body is also dense, durable and long lasting so it won't stretch.

It will easily pass all your machine washes without fading, shrinking or stretching out.

Innovative eco-friendly treatment

Wool has a scaly surface, and as its fibres do not sit uniformly, they snag when they contact one another. A warm, humid environment increases this effect and the wool becomes felted. Wool is treated in order to prevent this from happening.

The conventional process previously used involves smoothing these scales and then coating the chlorinated wool fibres with a wash-resistant film. A substantial amount of AOX pollutant is released during this process. This results in environmental pollution and is directly attributable to the wool fibres.

EXP stands for “EX-Pollution”, or the avoidance of pollutants during the anti-felting treatment process. EXP is a revolutionary new process from our spinner the Schoeller Spinning Group that enables the wool to remain machine-washable without the use of chlorine.Microparticles, which may eventually detach during washing and enter the global water cycle, biodegrade completely.

Sustainable labels

Schoeller has set a benchmark with this innovation and once again proven its commitment to ecological sustainability. All the wool they use is mulesing free certified.

Schoeller’s newly developed EXP wool treatment process meets the highest standards. The chlorine-free process uses less resources than conventional processes and is carried out reliably at the company’s European manufacturing site, meaning it is a truly all-round sustainable innovation.

EXP is the first wool finishing process in the world to meet the strict criteria of the "Bluesign®" and "Global Organic Textile (GOTS)" standards, and it also conforms with the "Okeo-Tex standard 100".
