The best of merino wool
An extra-fine 17-micron wool, carefully selected for its exceptional softness and unique natural properties.
As always at Seagale, it is guaranteed mulesing-free and certified Responsible Wool Standard.
Next-generation Cordura
Cordura is a high-performance polyamide known for its strength. It gives the T-shirt enhanced resistance to wear and tearing.
In this Henley, we use two types of Cordura:
- A staple fiber that is blended directly with wool.
- A continuous filament fiber that forms a protective outer shell.
A twisted core
The first step in creating the yarn for this Henley is to tightly twist merino wool with a discontinuous Cordura fiber.
This produces a strong, homogeneous semi-finished yarn: 73% merino wool – 27% discontinuous Cordura.
The result is a core that is already far more robust than 100% wool. And this is only the beginning.
An ultra-durable outer shell
Around this core, continuous Cordura filaments are wrapped to create an ultra-resistant outer shell.
The resulting yarn is flexible yet incredibly strong. It is produced in Germany by our partner Südwolle using a complex process.
Final composition:
52% extra-fine merino wool – 19% discontinuous Cordura – 29% continuous Cordura filament

"Je cherchais une pièce capable de traverser une journée de réunions, un week-end en forêt et un voyage sans se plaindre. Ce henley est exactement ça. Le toucher surprend : on s'attend à du technique, on obtient quelque chose de doux et généreux. Le mérinos fait son œuvre — on ne transpire pas, on ne sent pas, on ne gratte pas. Le col henley ajoute juste ce qu'il faut de caractère. En rando, en ville, en voyage — il passe partout sans effort."

"Excellent tee-shirt à manches longues ! J’ai opté pour la couleur kaki, et celle-ci est parfaitement conforme aux photos. Le confort est remarquable : on a presque l’impression de ne rien porter, tout en bénéficiant d’une excellente isolation thermique. De plus, il est très élégant, ce qui permet de le porter aussi bien dans un cadre décontracté que plus habillé. Porté seul sous une Hybrid Merino Down, je n’ai jamais eu froid malgré les températures fraîches de mars à New York. Pour référence, je mesure 1,80 m pour 82 kg, et la taille M me va très bien. Côté entretien, rien à signaler : lavage à 30°C avec un essorage à 800 tours/minute, puis séchage sur cintre très rapide. Après plusieurs lavages, le tee-shirt ne s’est pas déformé. Autre point très appréciable : la gestion des odeurs. Je n’ai pas l’habitude de porter un tee-shirt deux jours de suite, mais ici c’est différent. Aucune odeur en fin de journée, et j’ai pu le porter 3 à 4 jours sans problème. En résumé : un produit très confortable, performant, élégant et pratique au quotidien. J’en recommanderai sans hésiter."
