Using wool as an insulation is a no brainer.
Wool is a fiber that offers unparallel breathability, comfortable warmth and a constant body climate, whatever the level of activity or changing weather conditions.
This makes wool the perfect insulation for everyday life and travel.
We built this piece by sandwiching this insulation between a beautiful merino wool flannel and premium nylon.

This luxurious, elegant fabric is a joy to wear.
High-performance wool insulation
We've chosen to stuff this jacket with Lavalan® insulation: a new functional wool insulation made exclusively from natural, renewable raw materials, virgin wool and corn.
The weight used for quilting this jacket is 250gsm to offer the best weight/warmth ratio:
- Thermo-regulating for indoor and outdoor comfort
- Compact and highly compressible
- Insulates against the cold, even when wet
- Optimized for cool-weather activity
- Machine washable
From European farms
The wool for Lavalan® is sourced exclusively from European countries, in accordance with the highest standards of quality and animal welfare.
No sheep is mistreated, either during rearing or shearing. Sheep farmers deliver their freshly shorn wool to collection points, where it is sorted according to color and quality and pressed into bales.
The wool is then washed in traditional factories in Belgium and the UK. Plant residues, sheep dung and lanolin are removed to obtain a clean, soft and homogeneous wool filling. Then it's all off to Germany, where some 60 experienced employees produce the insulation.
Premium technical nylon
The fabric used for the technical side is a 100% matte nylon woven by our partner Sofileta in Bourgoin-Jailleu, France.
It's a smooth, ultralight and windproof fabric.
